Shipping Policy – Skyline Textiles Sri Lanka
Effective Date: 17 October 2026
Last Updated: 17 October 2026
This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions applicable to the collection, transportation, and delivery of textile products purchased from Skyline Textiles (Private) Limited, referred to throughout this Policy as "Skyline Textiles", "we", "us", or "our".
Skyline Textiles operates a physical fabric showroom in Sri Lanka and maintains the website www.skylinetextiles.com exclusively as an online product catalogue.
All purchases must be completed in person at our showroom. Following a purchase, customers may collect their goods directly or select from available third-party delivery and transportation services.
This Policy applies to delivery arrangements associated with showroom purchases and should be read together with our Refunds and Returns Policy and other applicable company terms.
Section 1 – Website and Purchasing Policy
1.1 Product Catalogue Only
The Skyline Textiles website is intended to provide customers with information about our textile products, including available fabric categories, specifications, designs, and other product details.
Our website does not accept online purchases, payments, or checkout transactions. Browsing a product on the website does not constitute placing or confirming an order.
1.2 Showroom Purchases
Customers are required to visit our physical showroom to inspect, select, and purchase fabrics.
Product availability, quantities, prices, and specifications are subject to confirmation at the showroom at the time of purchase.
1.3 Delivery Arrangements
Once a showroom purchase has been completed, customers may:
Collect the purchased goods directly from the showroom.
Arrange standard delivery through an available third-party courier service.
Request on-demand transportation through PickMe or Uber.
Use a separately arranged vehicle or transport provider.
The choice of transportation is subject to the availability, service coverage, and operational requirements of the relevant provider.
Section 2 – Delivery Services
2.1 Third-Party Courier Services
Skyline Textiles facilitates standard domestic delivery arrangements through independent third-party courier providers.
Courier services are available to eligible locations throughout Sri Lanka, including Colombo, its suburbs, and outstation areas.
Courier acceptance is subject to the provider's service coverage, package dimensions, weight limitations, and other applicable conditions.
2.2 PickMe and Uber Transportation
For customers who require prompt delivery or transportation of larger textile purchases, on-demand transport may be arranged through PickMe or Uber, subject to the respective platform's available vehicle categories and service areas.
These arrangements are separate from standard courier deliveries and are intended for direct transportation after the purchase has been completed.
Vehicle requests may be initiated promptly, but collection and delivery times are not guaranteed. Actual availability and arrival times depend on driver acceptance, traffic conditions, distance, and other operational factors.
Customers may book transportation independently or request assistance from Skyline Textiles where such assistance is available.
2.3 Customer-Arranged Collection
Customers may transport purchased goods using their own vehicles or independently selected transport providers.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their selected vehicle is appropriate for the volume, dimensions, and weight of the purchased goods.
Section 3 – Delivery Coverage and Estimated Timelines
3.1 Colombo and Suburbs
Postal Code Range: 00000–19999
Estimated Standard Courier Delivery: 2–4 business days from dispatch.
3.2 Outstation Areas
Postal Code Range: 20000–99999
Estimated Standard Courier Delivery: 3–7 business days from dispatch.
These postal-code ranges describe our published standard delivery categories. Actual service availability remains subject to confirmation by the courier provider.
3.3 Delivery Time Calculations
The estimated delivery periods begin when the goods are handed over to the relevant courier provider.
The time required to prepare and arrange the collection of purchased goods is separate from the courier's transportation period.
Weekends, public holidays, adverse weather, transport disruptions, and other circumstances may affect delivery schedules.
3.4 On-Demand Delivery Timelines
PickMe and Uber transportation services operate on an on-demand booking basis rather than the standard courier delivery schedule.
Once a booking is accepted, the vehicle may collect and transport the goods directly. However, Skyline Textiles does not guarantee an immediate pickup, same-day arrival, or specific delivery time.
Section 4 – Delivery Fees and Transportation Arrangements
4.1 Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are determined by the relevant third-party service provider and may depend on the following factors:
Destination and distance.
Total package weight and dimensions.
Number and size of fabric rolls, bags, or cartons.
Vehicle category or courier service selected.
Additional collection, handling, or delivery requirements.
Applicable charges will be communicated or confirmed separately before the delivery arrangement is finalised.
4.2 Third-Party Charges
Additional charges may apply where a provider requires redelivery, address correction, special handling, additional waiting time, or a change in vehicle or route.
Any such charges are subject to the provider's applicable terms and the delivery arrangement agreed with the customer.
4.3 No Website Delivery Checkout
Because Skyline Textiles does not process online orders, delivery charges are not calculated or collected through an online shopping cart or website checkout.
Section 5 – Dispatch and Collection of Goods
5.1 Preparation for Dispatch
Purchased goods will be prepared for collection or transportation according to their quantity, packaging requirements, and the agreed delivery arrangement.
Preparation and handover times may vary depending on the size and nature of the purchase.
5.2 Courier Handover
For standard courier deliveries, the estimated delivery period begins after the courier has accepted the goods for transportation.
Any available tracking or shipment reference information may be shared with the customer, depending on the courier provider's systems.
5.3 On-Demand Vehicle Collection
For PickMe, Uber, or other independently arranged transportation, collection must be coordinated with the showroom.
The assigned driver or transport representative must be able to identify the relevant goods and complete collection in accordance with the agreed arrangement.
5.4 Large and Wholesale Purchases
Certain wholesale textile purchases, heavy fabric rolls, and oversized packages may not be suitable for standard courier services.
In these circumstances, customers may be required to use an appropriate truck or other suitable transport vehicle.
Section 6 – Customer Responsibilities
Customers requesting or arranging delivery are responsible for providing complete and accurate information, including:
Recipient's full name.
Valid contact number.
Complete delivery address and postal code.
Relevant access instructions.
Any special loading or unloading requirements.
Customers must also ensure that:
The delivery location is accessible to the selected service provider.
Someone is available to accept the goods at the agreed destination.
Any necessary arrangements for unloading heavy or bulky goods have been made.
The chosen transportation method is suitable for the purchased materials.
Skyline Textiles should be informed as early as possible if delivery information needs to be corrected before dispatch.
Section 7 – Failed and Undeliverable Deliveries
A delivery may be delayed, unsuccessful, or returned where:
The address or contact details are inaccurate or incomplete.
The recipient cannot be contacted or is unavailable.
The delivery location is inaccessible.
The recipient refuses to accept the goods.
The transport provider is unable to complete the delivery for operational or safety reasons.
Where possible, customers should coordinate directly with the relevant delivery provider to arrange another delivery attempt.
Redelivery, return transportation, storage, or redirection fees may apply in accordance with the provider's applicable conditions.
Changes requested after dispatch may not always be possible.
Section 8 – Package Inspection, Damage and Discrepancies
8.1 Inspection Upon Receipt
Customers are encouraged to inspect their goods upon receipt and check for visible damage, packaging issues, missing packages, or incorrect items.
Where visible damage is identified, customers should notify the delivery representative at the time of delivery whenever possible.
8.2 Reporting Issues
Any damaged, incorrect, or missing items should be reported to Skyline Textiles within 48 hours of delivery, in accordance with our published Refunds and Returns Policy.
Customers should retain their original purchase invoice, relevant delivery documents, packaging, and photographs where applicable.
8.3 Resolution of Delivery Issues
Skyline Textiles will review reported issues and, where appropriate, assist customers with information required for an investigation by the delivery provider.
Where the customer has independently booked transportation through a third-party platform or service, transport-related complaints may also need to be submitted directly to that provider.
Any applicable refund, replacement, or exchange will be assessed under our Refunds and Returns Policy and applicable Sri Lankan law.
Section 9 – Third-Party Service Limitations
9.1 Independent Delivery Providers
Third-party couriers, PickMe, Uber, and other transportation services operate independently of Skyline Textiles.
Their services are subject to their own operating conditions, vehicle availability, service areas, and delivery procedures.
9.2 Delivery Delays
Skyline Textiles cannot guarantee delivery within a specific timeframe where delays arise from matters outside our reasonable control, including:
Severe weather or natural disasters.
Road closures and traffic disruptions.
Public holidays or service interruptions.
Courier network delays.
Driver or vehicle unavailability.
Other unforeseen logistical circumstances.
Where delivery assistance has been arranged through our showroom, customers may contact us for reasonable assistance in following up with the relevant provider.
9.3 Loss or Damage During Transportation
Reports of lost or damaged goods will be reviewed based on the relevant facts, available evidence, the delivery arrangement, and the applicable provider's terms.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or restrict rights or remedies that customers are entitled to under applicable Sri Lankan law.
Section 10 – Delivery Restrictions
10.1 Domestic Delivery Only
Our standard delivery arrangements apply to destinations within Sri Lanka. International shipping is not currently offered under this Policy.
10.2 Service Availability
Delivery services may be unavailable to certain remote, restricted, inaccessible, or otherwise unsupported locations.
10.3 Package and Vehicle Restrictions
Courier providers and on-demand transport operators may refuse packages that exceed their permitted weight, dimensions, or carrying capacity.
Where necessary, an alternative transportation method must be arranged before collection.
Section 11 – Returns and Exchanges
Returns, exchanges, refunds, and claims relating to purchased fabrics are governed by the separate Skyline Textiles Refunds and Returns Policy.
Customers should review the applicable conditions before purchasing fabrics, particularly where goods have been cut, altered, processed, or purchased in wholesale quantities.
Please refer to our Refunds and Returns Policy for further information.
Section 12 – Changes to This Policy
Skyline Textiles reserves the right to update or amend this Shipping Policy to reflect changes in business operations, delivery arrangements, service provider requirements, or applicable regulations.
Any revisions will be published on our official website with an updated revision date.
The version applicable to a particular delivery arrangement will be determined by the relevant terms communicated and agreed at the time of purchase and delivery coordination, subject to applicable law.
Section 13 – Governing Law
This Shipping Policy is governed by the applicable laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Any disputes arising in connection with delivery arrangements will be addressed in accordance with applicable Sri Lankan law and the rights and obligations of the parties concerned.
